In collaboration with the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety, Project Extra Mile is coordinating a pair of one-day free Law Enforcement Trainings, set for Sept. 17 and 18, that will focus on the enforcement of underage drinking laws and provide an in-depth look at conducting compliance checks in Nebraska.

The La Vista Police Department will host the training on Tuesday, Sept. 17 for those in the metropolitan area. The second training takes place the next day, Wednesday, Sept. 18, at the Law Enforcement Training Center in Grand Island. The sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. both days.
Nancy McGee, a 28-year veteran of the Missouri Department of Public Safety and consultant to the OJJDP/Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws Program since 2002, will provide attendees with information on the enforcement of underage drinking laws. Nancy has spent her career specializing in alcohol enforcement and is an expert in providing technical assistance in the areas of compliance checks and developing and sustaining community coalition efforts.
Law enforcement officers, community/coalition members, and prosecutors are encouraged to attend.
