In partnership with the Nebraska Department of Roads - Highway Safety Office, Project Extra Mile is coordinating two Law Enforcement Trainings, which will be held in both the Omaha area and in Grand Island. The trainings will focus on preventing and reducing alcohol-related harms through compliance checks and selective underage drinking enforcements. Law enforcement representatives, prosecutors and community coalition members are encouraged to attend. Due to limited space, registrants from the law enforcement community will be given first opportunity to attend should the number of registrations exceed the number of available training spots. The registration deadline is September 19, 2017.

Training topics in the Omaha area and in Grand Island will include:

  • Planning, implementing, evaluating and communicating on compliance checks and selective underage drinking enforcements
  • Research on the effectiveness of enhanced underage drinking enforcements
  • Legal issues and challenges for enhanced underage drinking enforcements
  • Building community support for enhanced underage drinking enforcements

About our Trainer:
