Project Extra Mile routinely tracks those adults who provide alcohol to kids and put the lives of young people at risk. The organization encourages community members to engage in this process. Project Extra Mile tracks cases through the court system and writes letters to judges and prosecutors to encourage appropriate penalites, such as jail time, for adults who provide alcohol for kids and contribute to the often devastating consequences of underage drinking.
The TRACE Program
The Sarpy County Sheriff's Office has implemented a version of the TRACE program that originated with the California Alcohol Beverage Control Board. The goal of the TRACE program is to investigate the source of the alcohol when minors are involved in an incident that includes an injury or a fatality.
