Project Extra Mile is a network of community coalitions working in Nebraska to prevent underage drinking. We have active coalitions in the following counties: Cedar, Dawson, Dodge, Douglas, Hall, Madison, Platte, Sarpy, Saunders, Scotts Bluff, Washington and Wayne.
Our community coalitions are open to anyone desiring to make his or her community safer for young people through the prevention of underage drinking. Involvement in many of our communities includes individuals from public and private schools, law enforcement, youth, prevention and safety groups, health agencies and organizations, child advocacy groups, the faith community, prosecutors, community groups, doctors and nurses, the media and others.
Each local coalition works collaboratively to prevent underage drinking within the community. The work of each coalition is vital in our comprehensive approach to prevention. We focus on creating a safe environment for young people. This environment is created, in large part, when we work to enact and enforce laws that hold adults to a higher standard for the protection of children.
We need your voice and your help. Please contact your local coalition to be part of the change in your community.
